Are there any side effects to an MRI exam?

There are no known side effects of MRI. There is no radiation and clinicians can perform the test repeatedly without adverse results.

Will I need additional tests after an MRI exam?

The answer will depend on the reason your doctor ordered your MRI exam, however, patients frequently have tests on multiple systems, each supplying a different type of data, to provide your physician with enough information to make an accurate diagnosis.

When will I get the results and how?

In general, results are available to your referring physician within 24 hours. With our new secure online web viewer, your physician can have instant access to your results! As a service to our patients, you may also request a CD of your results from the facility where your examination took place.
